Our Commitment

SpotKare is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that therapy centre staff and parents should be able to use our tools effectively regardless of their abilities or the assistive technologies they rely on.

Standards We Follow

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility and cover a wide range of recommendations for making content more accessible.

Accessibility Features

Our platform includes the following accessibility features:

  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone.
  • Screen reader support: Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and proper heading hierarchy for compatibility with assistive technologies.
  • Touch targets: Minimum 44 x 44 pixel touch targets for comfortable use on mobile devices.
  • Readable text: Minimum 16px base font size with clear typography and adequate line spacing.
  • Colour contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
  • Skip-to-content links: Allow keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation and jump directly to main content.
  • Semantic HTML: Proper use of headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels throughout the application.
  • Responsive design: The interface adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels without loss of functionality.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations as we continue to improve. Complex data visualisations such as progress charts may not be fully accessible to screen readers — we provide text-based alternatives where possible. We are actively working to address any gaps.

Please contact us with a description of the issue, the page or feature affected, and the assistive technology you are using (if applicable). We aim to respond to accessibility reports within 5 business days.
